O1 Heat Treating.

Hi. I've recently started using O1 steel and have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. Firstly, most of what I can find suggests a two hour temper at around 450 F. I have read that a triple temper is good to even things out and make sure that everything has transformed properly. Are there any problems with tempering multiple times at 450F? Secondly, I differential heat treat. If the blade is thicker, the spine may remain above 900 F when the blade portion has cooled below 900 in less than 2 seconds. I differential heat treat to make the blade stronger. If the spine of the blade toward the tang area is over 900 for more than two seconds, that should put it into pearlite if I understand correctly. Is that a problem if it is in the spine? I think I am understanding this right, but could use a little help. Thanks a bunch.
