Here are a couple of pictures of a pair of Damascus knives that were finished up today. The handle material is pine cone and the Damascus is from Alabama Damascus.

Hey Cory,
Those are Cool! I really like the trailing point hunter on top! I made very similar knives when I started and that's how the Rhino thing started.

Tell us how that Pine Cone Handle stuff works to a finish? Your's came out great!
Just a suggestion Cory, Hunters like that usually sell better with Thong hole lanyards on em.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks guys!

Laurence - The Pine Cone material is different to work with. It seems to be soft and flexible when you handle it, but it really has some durability to it! It does cut and grind without any problems and it polishes up really well. I actually went with a Tru-Oil finish on both handles and it worked out great! The manufacture recommended buffing the handles, but sometimes you have to experiment. I agree with the suggestion about the Thong hole, but this one was ordered without it.

Thanks again! - Cory
