First two knives....

Lots of things I learned with these two....

This was my first solo blade...

(When you forget to drill your mosaic pinholes before you heat treat, you wind up with 'open' brass pins.... but it's all good. The guy who got this one loved the look.

And this was the second one...


Just read a post about polishing G10, so I'm going to have to work on that.

Both are 9.5" long w 5" blades, 1095 w brass bolsters and pins.

Very ambitious for first knives but you did well. You have a long way to go but you have gotten a good start.

Thick skin here, so any constructive criticism is welcome!
I've had one class a couple of years ago, everything since then has been trial and error or dumb luck.

NIce job,not bad for the first ones.
Only criticism when you drill the holes for the handle try to center them a little better.The very first thing that my eye went to was that one hole was hi in the handle and the other was low,they didn't line up.
Just keep it going and you will get there
