I finally got the old knife making machine to fire on most of the cylinders. Here's the latest two I have been working on. The smaller one has a 4" forged saw steel blade, iron fittings with a piece of deer or elk stag for the handle. Overall its just over 8". The larger knife is one I hand forged from a 7/8" X 2" cylindrical 52100 bearing. Anything larger out of 52100 I would not attempt to do by hand. The blade is just over 4 1/2" and it has wrought iron fittings with a piece of sambar stag as the handle. Overall its just over 9". Both have my two ply cowhide sheaths.

Love the bigger one Ray. The sheaths look pretty cool too. Do you have a block that you use to texture the leather before you wet form it?
