Black Palm with Carbon fiber bolsters

This knife has been one big headach, not sure why, there's nothing special about it.
This is the same design,I have always made, but it fought me from start to finish.

Closed: 3 5/8"
Open: 6 3/8"
Scales: Stabilized Black Palm and CF bolsters and G-10 spine
Blade: Flatground 1095.The etch looked real nice, until I had to do
a little more sanding,on the spine.I did a second etch, and to me it looks bad.
What say you??
Thanks for looking.
I sanded the etch off.Take a look at pic 1&2,had to use 280,then 600 grit to finish

God bless,Keith

Pretty racey materials. What's next?, Unobtanium and Transparent Boron? Or maybe just plain old Kryptonite and pink Diamonds.

You knives have improved 1000% just this year alone.

Keep it up man, outta sight!!!

I would clean up and polish the blade if it were me.

I'm kinda with you on the etch. I wouldn't say it looks bad, but I'd not be satisfied with it if it were me. Of course, it may mean starting with sandpaper back at lower grits and giving it a good scrub, which might not be worth it. Have you tried to clean it up/clean it off with a light abrasive paste like Mother's chrome wheel polish? It's like $3 at Walmart (in the auto section) and is at least as fine as white buffing rouge. I use it a lot to even out etching, remove tiny rust spots, clean out an etched maker's mark, etc.

I like the materials combo, and the overall package looks good.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Take a look at pic,1 & 2,see if you think that looks any better.
Thats 280 grit,back to 600 grit.I say it looks a little better.

Steve you send the Diamonds,I'll take care of the rest.

God bless,Keith

It seems to me that you get better with each one you do. I think this is a really nice looking knife and one you can be proud of.
