tips on a Wharncliffe design

I have been trying to design a Wharncliffe but have been struggling with it and the design always looks awkward. just looking for a few tips as far as blade width, length, ect.

I was planning on using it for a general utility knife for camping, and some food prep.

Could you post pictures of what you've come up with? Without something concrete to work with about all we can give is obvious advice. Don't make it too big, or too small. Make it juuuuuust right.

sorry about the delay, forgot about this thread. I played around with a few designs and this is the only one that came out. Its still rough but the plan is a full height convex grind with about a 20* edge.
OAL: 7 5/8"
Blade Length: 3 1/2"
blade width:1"
blade thickness 1/8"

scan didn't show everything but you get the point.

For some reason it was easier for me to lose track of my grinding on my first wharncliffe; wound up taking too much off of one side. I don't know if its just me or if others have the same issue. I wound taking 3/4" off the blade length to get it back to center ... ah well. The next one was a whole lot nicer, but I went slower.
