This is a necked down version of my PFC fighter. The original has a 7 1/2" blade and this one is only 5". He want that knife but only shorter. We started talking steels and performance come to find out, the customer has a degree in metallurgy. So talking with him about steels and heat treating was a treat. He wanted to go with carbon so I suggested 5160 and that was what he was thinking also. Here is what I came up with.

OAL 10 1/2"
Blade 5"
Steel 5160 Hand rubbed to 600 grit.
Black canvas micarta
SS corby bolts
SS tube
Tapered tang

Awesome grinds on this one Marvin and it looks like a very handy size knife, well done.
 
I like it a lot. I'm impressed with the WIP pictures. You can sure be proud of your efforts. Very good job.
