Here are two knives I just got back from the engraver Franz Marktl, the sheaths are nickel silver.

Doug, I have no secrets, don't know how to make a tutorital, have offered to show some guys how to make them with no takers , where are you ? Deane
 
If I didnt love making knives so much I would quite right now. I doubt I could ever acheive the perfection you display with these two.
Great work even without the engraving.
 
Those metal sheaths lend them self nicely to engraving. Very nice. I noticed you posted one sheath with a Damascus overlay on one of the engraving forums That was also very nice. Are those sheaths lined with leather? Im also curious about making them.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, Doug the sheaths are lined all the way to the bottom, use a man made material the knife seems to slide better on it, leather wants to stick. Deane
