One I just finished

Here's a 7" skinner I just finished. The knife was cut from a lawn edger blade, and the scales are spalted oak. The oak was pretty crumbly really could stand to be stabilized. I put 5 coats of Massey finish on (epoxy thinned with acetone) to try to strengthen them up a little. It has some moddest file work on the spine, but not much.

outstanding. i have made some pretty good knives out of edger blades. does it cut as good as it looks.

Thanks guys.

Gary, it cut pretty well. I traded it on another forum, and the guy that got it said he would give me some feedback if he got to skin anything with it.

Thanks Scott, I really like that spalted oak too. It's super crumbly though, so it could probably stand to be stabilized.
