Church Robbed

Just got the call from one of the other pastors, someone broke in to our church and stole the sound equipment, and some other things. It happens, we're a smallish church, and times are tough. You gotta figure anyone who'd steal from a church must be scraping bottom.

I'm very sorry for your congregation's loss.

That is a very kind way of phrasing it, Sir. It takes an extremely low individual to take from those who offer spiritual guidance, undestanding, and compassion to others. In the end, the Good Lord will pass final judgement on those who committed the crime.

Well said Murph. When I was coming up,the Church doors were never locked.
Same thing happen to us,someone went in and stole the sound equipment.
After replacing what was taken, the members all agreed that the building should
not be locked.Three weeks later,it happen again, but this time the pastor was in
the church, and they were not able to get out the door with anything.
After that, locks were put on the doors, and keys were given to all members.
Sad day, when people start stealing from the house of God.

God bless,Keith

Stealing to feed a child is one thing - stealing to feed a habit is a whole 'nother thing. Stealing from a church to feed a habit has got to rank way up on the list of St. Peter's "easy" choices. Somehow, I don't believe any kids were fed from the proceeds of this robbery.

I'm sorry to hear about the theft. With the price of copper so high many of the churches in my area have had their central air conditioning units stolen.
