8 Ball Sub Hilt Fighter!

HHH Knives

Super Moderator
Ok guys, I started this project a few months back. My customer wanted a Bad to the bone, 8 Ball fighter! The 8 Ball part is a inside joke.. From a YouTube video.. Hilarious! !! lol

Anyways.. Back to the knife. :)
Its a sub hilt fighter. Aldo's 1095 blade. 3/16ths thick With differential heat treat. Shows a nice hamon.
The guards are also made from 1095. and are pinned and soldered.
The handles are Marcarta secured by stainless Corby's.

Im really happy with the way this one turned out! Id say its a 10 Ball fighter! :)

Thanks for looking, as always, comments and critiques are welcomed.

God Bless
Randy

There are SOOO many jokes wrapped up in here that I just can't bring myself to type out. But the knife looks awesome and I have no doubt the customer is ecstatic...

What if the finish on the blade? Or is that just how 1095 looks when hand satin'd?

LOL Thanks Brad, for keeping it to yourself! :) I can only imagine..

The blade is hand sanded to 1000 Then I did a ferric etch to help bring out the hamon. sanding at 1500 till I got the desired effect.. The hardware is also 1095 and should patina really nicely over time.
