San Mai with Blackwood and Micarta

Bailey Knives

Well-Known Member
This is some of my high contrast san mai. The blade is designed to look as though it has a hamon, but much more bold. The core steel is 1095, and the outer layers are low carbon high nickel steel. The spine is fileworked and the flats are left with the forge scale, because I like how it looks.

The bolster is african blackwood and the handle is natural linen micarta. It is held in place with pins including one mosaic, and acraglas.

The sheath is 7-8oz hand stitched and tooled leather. The knife fits nicely and draws easily.

Dimensions
Blade - 6" tip to handle
OAL - 10 3/4"

Price - $sold shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order.

The first to post "I'll take it!" gets it. I have it on another forum also, so in case of a tie, I will check the time stamp

I have never posted for sale here on this forum before. I have been watching and looking at the knives here, but have not posted one yet. Thought I might give it a shot.
