Comparison between the "desert & iron II" folder, and a framelock folder, als with desert ironwood scales.

Both made by Murat Klein (Germany), and owned by ME :).

While they are both very nice folders, I have a preference for the framelock. The thick titanium liners are there, you can just as well use them. The advantage of the linerlock is that it's a seperate part, which can be changed when necessary.

Fit & finish on both folders are perfect. The way the blades are etched means that if you use them you don't have to worry about scratches on a "shiny" blade. The shape of the blade on the framelock seems more practical to me than the recurve on the liner lock, but I haven't actually "used" them (just cut some paper to see if they are sharp).

All in all I'm very satisfied with these two nice Ironwood handled folders!

Kind regards,

Jos
