hey folks, finished this one a few weeks ago for a good friend of mine. took the pics before the handle was pinned and finished fitting..the pins are brass chicago bolts sunk into the antler.

some specs. 3/16" 5160 spring steel from a chevy leaf spring.
double pinned brass guard, ground from 1" brass dowel.
whitetail antler given to me by the purchaser.
completly fileworked spine.
mirror polished.

the story behind the knife, my buddy wanted me to make him something that was a cross between a buck akonua and a buck skinner so i came up with this design and went with it. i think it came out pretty decent.
two things i learned about this build.
1. i hate working with antler! sanding it dry smells like burnt hair and sanding it wet turns the dust into antler pudding. very nasty.
2. flat grinding is alot easier than i thought it to be lol..

the pics are horrible but they work..
