metal carbide tiped for a 14" cut off saw?

Those types of blades are designed specifically for "cold saws". These saws are a higher HP, with much slower RPMs that a standard Cutoff/Chop saw. Those carbide tipped blades intended for metal cutting applications are fairly pricey...generally in excess of $100 each. They will not work on a standard Cutoff/chop saw...you will burn up the blade as soon as you touch a piece of steel if it's turning at the high RPMs of a Cutoff/Chop saw.
