This is knife #2

I really like the design (quite original, which is a hard feat these days!),
but to my eyes, the handle looks too thick and chunky for such a sleek and graceful blade...
If it were me,I'd go with half as thick, and flare the bolsters and butt just a hair.
I can't wait for # 3!!

I agree with Ironwolf and the knife would also be a lot lighter. Love your progressive pictures thanks for sharing.

I am thinking of reshaping this handle quite a bit to make it thinner. I can't think of any reason not to do it. Anyone have any comments?

You'll find it will feel much nicer,
and will handle much better (better control in use),
and will feel much more responsive as well.
I like a knife that has a bit heft to it,
but only when it's balanced for the intended use.
Try shaping a scrap bit of wood to the size and shape you want first,
and when you find that just-right grip and fit,
then shape the handle to your knife to suit.

Outstanding! I think I will do exactly that. Thanks!
