We have alot of veterans among our ranks here and even more makers who have sent blades "down range" to support servicemembers. Let's see what you carried or what you've sent for duty.

Here are a few that know are either deployed, on the bubble for deployment or have "been there" and returned. It's been very gratifying to give a man a tool he can use in whatever capacity needed.

Bill, I haven't had the pleasure of putting my hands on an "Oscar Mike" yet, but I can affirm that the "Ridgeback" and "Alpha Echo" are both excellent examples of great Combat/Tactical knives. Thanks for posting the pics Bill.

These are all "volunteer" knives which were given to military servicemen and are all currently in service in various parts.

Another "volunteer", courtesy of Carl Brown, who very generously bought it from me and donated it for a soldier. This one is still awaiting a recipient, I am hoping to get it shipped out soon.

Here are my first two combat knives. I now have about 10 prototypes and 20 commissioned being made for different military groups and will post pics of them when I get them finnished.

The story some of your knives that have seen combat could tell.

Thank you to all that have outfitted our soldiers!

Here is one I designed back in '07 which is somewhere in Afghanistan right now. I started this blade and had to consult a friend to HT it for me. He noticed several mistakes I made and assisted by correcting them and handling it for me.

Luckily, my equipment and work is much better now.

I made this one for one of our sons that went to Iraq with the Marines , he ended up doing 3 tours with it strapped to his leg. He drove a Hummer escorting ....everyone around.

Thanks boys

I sent a couple of these to Adopt-A-Sniper. I don't know whether they went overseas or not. I also made one for my nephew and one for my niece's husband, both deployed.

I built a limited run of 10 of the Combat Shellcracker in 2010. Three units are downrange now and a fourth will be there in Jan 2011.

thanks for looking,

Vietnam Era Knife

Here's a picture of a reproduction of the sterile SOG Bowie made by Seki and issued to select SF people in Viet Nam.
My son carries my original with him now as he carries on the warrior tradition in the military

DaGriz,
Here's an original, carried in Viet Nam.
I bought this from a returning vet in late 1973 for $25.00, he had only been home about 2 months and was down and out. Not the best picture but your post reminded me I had it. It's got one beefy blade on it and is still razor sharp, I've never done anything to it.
