Small Chefs knife...

Here's a smaller chef's knife that I made for my sister- in- law for her wedding next weekend. Should be a pretty good all around kitchen knife and a great slicer. It's thin overall with a nice distal taper and really thin cutting edge. The handle is contoured kind of like a coke bottle and is very comfortable in the hand.

3/32" 1080 steel, edge quenched and etched
10 1/2" overall, 5 1/4" cutting edge
Black paper micarta bolsters, dovetailed
Scarlet box elder burl scales
Brass pins and spacer
Thorny vine filework inset into the handle spine

John you are going to have one very happy sister in law my friend that is a very beautiful knife.

I really like this knife. I'm going to attempt something like this as my first knife.

I have an idiot question:
How do you get such clean joints between the Black Bolster(?) & Brass & the Scales?

Is there a good tutorial out there that demonstrates this?

Thanks!
