Have we been hacked?

I clicked the "Whats New" page and it said something about a turkish hacker. Uh-Oh???
 
what happened when he hacked us, and why did he hack us?
One thing I just noticed,
it comes up with an Error message when I tried to post,
saying
"
The following errors occurred with your submission

* This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between posts. Please try again in 19 seconds."
HOLY CR#P...
when I clicked reply,it took me to some weird page/site which I got the hell out of pronto!
I don't know squat about computers and this is some weird stuff...
Any way of busting this clown?

I do know that this was identified early on today and passed upstream to those that can fix it.

They're working on it as we speak :)

Because they can. I manage a number of websites for clients including operating a couple of forums. I gave up on running a couple of smaller forums because it was simply too much work going in every day a deleting all of the spammers and hackers. It's a real shame but it's the way it always goes. A few bad apples trying riun things for everyone.

Now there are robotic programs that seek out forums and automatically sign in with thousands of bogus email addresses to post spam. People pay the programmers to drive traffic to their websites, usually porn sites. It doesn't matter if they trick you into going there or force you to go there with bogus links, they get paid for every "hit".

Much more could be done to shut the hackers and spammers down if the data centers and hosting companies would do it but the bottom line is that dollars usually win out over integrity. Of course many of these hacks originate in other countries so prosecutuion is nearly impossible.

I'd hunt 'em down and flatten their knuckles to paste,
slowly,one at a time...

Did it happen this morning just before noon eastern time?

I was on here and the screen just jumped to some big black screen and said something about Turkish hacker on it. I tried going back to the last screen I was on and it kept coming up so I just turned my computer off immediately.

My anti virus isn't showing anything so I hope it didn't get to my computer.
