Anyone use a PlasmaCam?

Ironwolf

The Knife Poet
I got the demo dvd a couple years ago,and was blown away
with how simple and easy this thing is for a non-computer guy like me
to use,and the fact that you can scan hand-drawn images into it and have a finished part in very little time. I got pretty excited about the possibilities of using this thing,
but Life got back in the groove,and I'd forgotten about this tool,until yesterday;
I just got their new brochure and am about to move to Vancouver Island,and will most likely have a space where I could use something like this...
I'd have a LOT of uses for it,
and have been wondering how it would work for cutting blanks from
let's say, S30V and other knife steels... anyone familiar with it,
and it's application in knife-making?

The software is what really makes it amazing;
no need for CAD programming.
It runs off your PC!
Create a file,feed it to the machine,very very quickly,you have a finished product laying on the table...
This is PERFECT for knuckle-heads like me who don't know squat about computers,much less programming,CAD,etc.
And the other thing is it's really versatile: for production work,I've never seen anything to beat this thing:
you can mount a router head (for wood),vinyl cutter,MIG welder,straight torch and more on it...
I can't wait 'til I'm set up again,and when I get one of these,I'll keep ya'll posted!
