HF shop rolls sand paper

For ease of operation I like to have shop rolls of sand paper for rough sanding work up to around 220 grit or so. I usually order it from McMaster or Grainger through the plant I work at.

My father-in-law brought me a roll of 230 grit and a roll of 80 grit from HF last week. I figured it would wear quickly, but what the heck I'll use it.

Well, I used it to sand a couple of pieces I've been working on and when I went to wash my hands afterward they were stained to the point that even Lava soap had issue getting them clean! :what!:

I ended up using a combination of Formula 409 and pine-Sol to get them clean enough to be presentable.

For the record I was using the 80 grit at first and then the 230 grit after using some known good 100 grit in between. For lube I was using WD-40.

Not sure what is in the paper, but I'll take it to the farm where we can use it with gloves on!

Anyone else had this experience?
