Making some progress

Well, despite the problems with my welder, I made a little progress today.
Got my anvil setup, got it and a couple other new toys a while back but other projects have been in the way, that new fence behind the anvil for one.
Anvil is a 112# unit from NC tool, seems to be the answer I been looking for.
The tongs are from GSTONGS, would have been a good training project to make them, but I got impatient and ordered them so I can get on to other things. The price was right and I would have spent way to much time trying to figure out how to make them myself.

At 112lbs, its not a large anvil, but serviceable and sitting in your shop, which is a great feeling I'm sure.

Once you have an anvil in place it is amazing how quickly you can find other goodies to go along with said anvil.

Thats what the steel is for next to the anvil, soon as I get the welder fixed.

It looks like you are getting set up nicely. That anvil is beautiful. I like the way its designed and should be perfect for fine work on blades. Nice tongs too.
