Stag bowie with Nickel / Copper

This is one I just finished today. I took some chances with the hardware. Change up a few things just to test my abilities.

8 1/2" blade 5160 edge quenched.
Sambar taper
Nickel silver fluted guard and ferrel with a little slab of copper in front. Nickel butt cap.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I might add the balance in this is right at the guard. I'm thinking this is as good as I've ever done for a large knife.

Great work, it's a stunning piece. Also me thinks that the copper will had some more character.

That copper piece in front was an afterthought. I had never tried doing that before and thought what the heck give it a try. It took 3 tries to get it the way I wanted. Copper that thin (.020) bends really easy when you try to drill and file.
